Program Overview

The Museum’s Bringing the Lessons Home (BTLH) program introduces Washington, DC-area high school students to Holocaust history and encourages them to share its lessons with their family, friends, and community.

Program Details

  • Explore the history of the Holocaust and why it happened on Saturdays at the Museum throughout the spring 2024. (You will receive the final schedule upon acceptance to the program.)

  • During the 14-week program, you will receive training to serve as a tour guide for the Museum’s main exhibition.

  • Upon graduation from the program, you will become a BTLH student ambassador.

  • You will earn up to 50 credit hours of community service.

  • You are eligible to participate in the Stephen Tyrone Johns Summer Youth Leadership Program.

  • Students in 9th–12th grade from schools in the Washington, DC, area may apply for this program.

  • There is no tuition fee for accepted students.
