Very useful and nice presentation. It is very hard to believe that this happened to those peoples. We need to keep this in mind to avoid another world war. Keep it up.

I have a friend called Annelies Marisol Hollander who is a Jew from Asten, Netherlands. Her grandmom survived WWII. I don't know how these people they suffered, but they made it! Her grandmom, to this day, is still alive, age 83. She still remembers her dark ages and when I myself heard her story, I just couldn't help my curiosity to search all about Holocaust and WWII and now that I've got enough information, I think, we're lucky to this day that history hasn't repeated. But who knows? It might. But I just pray and hope people are not treated with cruelty for all have the right to live for who they are. Not dying for being Jews, homosexuals or gypsies.

I am an 11 year old student and I was seeing this site. I believe Franklin Delano Roosevelt, president of the United States during the Holocaust, could have done something to ease the suffering of the Jews. This man was bold in ending the Depression, but reluctant in helping suffering people. I think Roosevelt was a terrible president in this means. He does not deserve recognition as president.

My Mother worked for many years at Sholom Home in St. Paul, MN. It is a Jewish nursing home that has been around since 1908. Mother worked there from 1968 to 1974. At that time there were many residence that were survivors of the "not-so-called" Holocaust. I saw the camp tattoos and talked to these folks and I absolutely shudder at the thought of this historical fact being ignored by more and more people as the years go along and the eye witnesses pass away from us. As a free people we need to fight this insidious and disgusting denial of the truth and remember that if we are so stupid as to forget this chapter in human history, then we will be certain to repeat it or convince ourselves we could have done nothing about it. Is life so sweet that nothing is worth upsetting our sensibilities, or will we as Americans finally stand for something larger than ourselves? I will never forget those old Jews or the lessons that they taught me.

I am a 4th grader, and I think that this website is great for reports and just for curious people who like history. I think that you should add information whenever you can and keep the museum open for everyone.

PS. thanks for everything you are sending to me! :)

It's hard to wrap your mind around everything that took place. My thoughts are racing as I try to leave this message. The pure evil of it all. It boggles my mind how any God fearing person can be a racist or carry hatred towards any other human being in 2009 after the lessons of the Holocaust. I'm ashamed as a human being. The more I read and learn, the more gut wrenching it all is. It's important for us all to understand that antisemitism is not just the hatred of Jews but, also to civil rights, the help of the needy, free enterprise and our liberty. It is our reason for living so we don't forget and we keep freedom, tolerance and our liberty safe from evil doers.

It is with great sadness I researched the Holocaust, such evil, atrocities against humanity beyond belief. I cannot comprehend the reasons for perpetrating the appalling crimes against the Jewish people. It is truly the darkest hour in our history, shameful in our complicity for not lending a helping hand. It is no wonder Israel fights so fiercely for their liberty today, may one day they find a way to live in peace in the land they so love. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to them and all who still suffer.
