A lot of people in my country had forgiven our responsabilities in this horrible part of world history. I am a student in psychology and everyday I'm trying to understand the French behavior about Jews persecution...So I read, I Watch a lot of documentaries but I just cannot understand this. Unfortunately, I think that nowadays, more and more people can understand those persecutions, it is our duty to ensure that the horror will not exist anymore...

Please read Staying Human Through the Holocaust by Terez Mosez she really captures it...well at least to me it seems like she catured it...i guess i couldnt possibly know but i was in tears through the whole book and it really touched my heart and chilled me to the bone. Just writing this makes me feel choked up. I cant imagine how difficult it would be to pen those words even after it was over. Best Holocaust book i have ever read...it will literally change you.

My wife, Diann, adn I visited teh Holocaust museum last Wed in DC. I was given the brief bio on Jacob Frenkiel - than you very much for sharing a portion of your family story.

Though I have recived and taught some history of the concentrations camps, the Museum gives one a much more thorough picture of the enormity of these shocking times and events.

Thanks to Jacob and the Museum or providing such rivetting information.

Thank you so much for this website. I appreciate your integrity & devotion to truth in making sure the voiceless finally have a voice. I have not yet visited the museum, (someone warned me that with my tendency toward depression it might be too much for me), but I find the stories I have read about Jehovah's Witnesses and others on this site to be inspiring, not depressing. I applaud your dedication to revealing history and humanity in all of its starkness. This just proves to me that no matter how viciously cruel some humans can get, their depravity will not last, their bluster will not stand & their power will fade into nothing. There will always be lovers of truth and decency who appear, who learn from the darkness, and their honorable work of educating still others is a lasting and precious gift that will always outlive the evil. I am looking forward to visiting your fine facility soon. Thank you again for your efforts and hard work at making the truth known.

I recently had the tho honour os listening to a survivor story from a survivor called Jack.He was a remarkable man who has been through hell but the thing that struck me was he thaught he was lucky.isuppose in someway he is.As he told us his story he broke down talking about his younger brother and it occared to me even after all this time he will never truely be over what has happend.Without people like him and others like him we may not be here today and i want to thank all of these remarkable people. One final thing is he said he has forgiven because hate will not bring anyone back.He also said he will never understand is Hitler was once a young boy who had jewish friends.

The holocaust museum has taught me so much, and is also helping me teach my younger sibilings about things that went on in the world that they do not have to go through. I have been interested in the holocaust since my 10th grade teacher told me stories about his family because they are survivors from the holocaust. The holocaust is a very horrific event that some people forget and others try to deny, which is a disgrace to humanity. More people should learn about the holocaust it changed my view on a lot of things that i do as a person and that my friends do to other people.

I'VE HEARD ABOUT HOLOCAUST JUST FEW YEARS AGO FROM MY HUSBAND WHO WAS BORN IN YUGOSLAVIA,HE WAS TELLING ME HOW HE FELT TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO BEEN KILLED DURING THE HOLOCAUST.
NOW, AS I READ LOTS OF STORIES ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST IT'S MAKE ME REALLY UPSET HOW THE HUMANITY CAN DO THIS, I THINK WE SHOULD RESPECT EACH OTHER AS A HUMAN BEING NO MATTER WHAT COLOR OR RACE YOU ARE , LOVE ONE ANOTHER LIKE GOD LOVES US! I HOPE THIS INSIDENT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PEOPLE WHO CREATED THIS WEBSITE, IT'S A VERY EDUCATIONAL SITE , WELL DONE!!!

It's sad to see what everyone went through, but I think it is very thoughtful that they put so many exhibits to remember the lives of the people that died and that lived. It's amazing to see how many belongings they gathered, and to see how many of the families lived. It's heartless to see how carelessly they killed Women and Children, but it is nice to see how we remember their lives. I hope to come back soon to further explore what happened, and hopefully one day, go to Germany to see for myself.

I recently visited the Holocaust museum in Washington. As I toured the exhibits, I noticed and walked through the rail cattle car on display. I suddenly became aware that when european Jews were being transported to death camps, I was enjoying train rides to our annual school picnics at Kennywood Park near Pittsburgh PA. The realization that railroads were used for joyous and death trips in the same era has never left my mind. My tears joined those of the rail car's human cargo, perhaps my missing cousins.

My Mothers' family came over from Germany before the 1st World War. They were Jewish. My Great great granddad decided to drop their last name from Meuller to Miller to protect his family even in Canada. No person should ever have to change his identity so it does not offend some one else. This plagued the family for years. War is a horrible trait that man can not seem to live without. Only profits come from war and corrupt governments.
