I feel for Anne, I really do... to think of what the Germans did to her and her family...
Myself, having a german native background/ancestry, I am TOTALLY ashamed of what happened to this family. There are always alot of what if's or if only's but in all reallity it is part of our/ my past. Yes she was a brave young girl and I do commend her and her family, it took alot of courage to hide out like that for two years. In this day and age if something were to happen like this again, I don't think alot of people would survive because people are to needy today. I am so proud that she took to writing of about her life in the Annex and that it did get published like she wanted it be, I do think she would be very proud.

After reading it in 1970 I daydreamed of rescuing her, rowing her over to England,,, what's a 14 year old boy to think? We would have a great conversation across the Channel, and her smile would keep me going. Ten years later I cried when I visited her house.

Anne Frank was an amazingly brave girl. She was and still is, a great example to all of us. :) I'm in the process of reading the 'Diary of a Young Girl; Anne Frank', and it's amazing. I just can't believe all that she went through and how courageous she was...her essay 'Give!', is something the whole world needs to read. Why don't people listen? They just don't want to hear that they're wrong. They don't want to hear that there's only one way, so they call those people narrow-minded and conceited, because it makes them feel better...they just don't realize that in the end, they will be proved to be the fakes that they are. Anne Frank shows us that. She is a hero.

For me, this book was more than just learning about WWII and how the Jews lived-but it was about a girl who had to deal with her coming of age in limited space! I read this when I was thirteen, and I had no idea how to deal with growing up until I read this book. It's amazing how profound and influential she was...but she was just a teenage girl. Anne Frank changed my life, and I'm grateful.

We read this book in our lit class and it broke my heart that the nazis were so judgemental and actually listened to hitler. why did hitler hate the jews so much? he was a villianous man. and because of this he ended a young girl's wonderful writing carreer she was a wonderful writer and I hope people in the future will read this book and understand how treacherous the nazis were.
