I think it's pretty sad when people think the Holocaust was a hoax. To even doubt the multiple eye witness accounts or survivor camp survivors is pretty frustrating. Also, I don't like how the publishers asked Mr. Frank to leave out some of Anne's passages, because I'm sure many people would like the original, real, unedited diary. It's a shame that Anne couldn't live to become a writer, because the world would be a better place if she didn't die. |

Anne Frank was a 13 year old girl that grew up in a wonderful family but had many problems with the war effecting her life. I loved this story because its sad and happy at the same time. It a great story and if you have not read the story yet you have to go out and read it now. My favorite person in this story is Anne dad Mr. Frank because of his braveness. Having to deal with the war and the two family's he is living with having many problems. |

I am thirteen years old.... just as old as Anne was. My class finished reading the diary of Anne frank last week. I felt so bad for her.... I loved reading the story though. I liked hearing life from a different point of view. Imagine, not being able to talk from eight AM to six PM. It would be so hard. My favorite character was anne. She was so brave, she always said what she thought and wasn't afraid to. |

Hello,I am thirteen year girl in the United States. The Holocaust was a surprise for me. I never actually thought it was that big of a deal, but when I actually learned about it, I realized how much pain the Jews had to suffer. Anne Frank must really something special. Without her, and her diary, it would be hard for everyone to understand what the real Holocaust was like. She seemed so bright, and happy, and it was really inspirational. It seems kind of difficult for me to write a diary every single day when you know you have a chance of dying. Anne Frank was such a great writer, and I'm so glad that she decided to share her thoughts with the outside world. |

Being a 13 year old like Anne, I was distressed when I read how she died. She had so much talent that not many of the youths of today have. She experienced so much that we have not faced also. It is very sad that she got her dream through death. |

What happens to Anne after they get caught is sad. We just read the book at school (we didn't finish it, but we knew what the end was by watching the movie. We also watched a movie on what the concentration camps were. I'm also 13 and can't imagine my life being what Anne's was. |

The diary of Anne Frank is a very suspenseful and sad book. This diary allowed me to see the terrible things that fell upon certain ethnic groups during the Holocaust. It was terrible to think of all the innocent people Hitler has imprisoned and killed. I hope that everybody will read this book to realize what really happened in Europe during the 1940's. This story is very touching and hope that everyone will enjoy it. |

I thought that the story of Anne Frank was touching. It taught me that it is hard to persevere.Even through constant torture and confinement, Anne was brave enough to keep a diary and later on had the chance to share her thoughts with the world. I feel proud of her that she was able to stay happy and had a love of nature. The parts with Moucshi the cat. I loved those parts, but the book didn't do much justice to Anne's amazing story because it was a bit boring, but I am sure the exhibition. Peace out people! |

My eight grade class has just finished reading The Diary of Anne Frank. It was a very interesting but sad story and I felt touched reading it. |

As a 13-year-old girl, I was quite oblivious about the Holocaust before reading Anne Frank's diary. Though only an adolescent, Anne was able to capture her voice in her words beautifully. She and her family were so close to making it out of the Holocaust alive. Off by only days, Anne was inches away from freedom on the timeline of the Holocaust. I find it incredibly tragic that Anne had so many hopes and dreams, all which were left unfulfilled. She was an inspiration, not only to myself, but to everyone. I only hope that nothing like the Holocaust atrocity will ever happen again. |
