I first read "The Diary of Anne Frank" as a 14 year old. Twenty two years later the book still emotional effects me. As a teacher I plan on sharing this book with the students in my class in the hope that they will also never forget the story of Anne Frank. The memory of Anne has never left my heart or mind, by passing down Anne's story to future generations Anne will go on living even after her death. A big thank you to the Holocaust Museum for having such a wonderful web site for those of us who would normallly miss out on such a fantistic exhibit. You have allowd Anne Frank's work to be seen the world over. One question, will the exibit ever make its way down under?
Rest in Peace Anne, you were and always will be a truely amazing and gifted soul.

"The diary of Anne Frank" very touching to see what all of the Jewish people went through at that time. And as the people we should be lucky that Anne Frank diary is written to show and to tell use what she had to go through but not as a human but as a Jewish person. So we should not make the same mistake the Nazis made. And I agree with Anna she has touched allot of people harts and mine, because as a young girl knowing what happened to her just because she is Jewish.

Hello.
I am kayla, I highly enjoyed the diary of annefrank, T'was intense.
But I would Like to ask anyone who shall reply... what is the importance of it?? Why is it that the "unbossomings" of a teenage girl were published into 60 different languages and has read, back when it was first published, and still popular today??
there have been I think 3 films based on the diary of anne franks , and I realize the diary was phenomenal, But there were so many other stories of young or old jewish children and families published, from world war 2... Why is annes story so important?
what makes her's better.
seriously, there were protests to cutting down a tree that she described...
if anyone could answer or share their thoughts, it would be appreciated

This book touched my heart. I wanted to cry when I heard about the torture the people had to go through in the consentration camps. She really made a difference in my life. I didn't know that someone that young could write like that.
