The Diary of Anne Frank is by far one of the most profound and insightful books I have read. I give nothing but approbation to this book because of Anne?s views of life and her colorful descriptions of each character. I strongly believe that the reason Anne Frank?s diary is more enjoyable than other diaries and books is due to Anne?s dramatic and oblivious transformation. At the beginning of the diary, Anne is a headstrong, independent, and na?ve and possesses large amounts of excitement and enthusiasm for life. Towards the end of confinement she still has the same level of enthusiasm for life but her views have changed and her personality has evolved her into a more mature and sophisticated woman. For example, 13-year-old Anne would not be able to say her famous words, ?Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.? because of her maturity level and insight in life. Anne?s transformation throughout the book reminded me of the short story, ?The Bet? because in both stories, the characters under go a long period of confinement that results in an increase in wisdom. It still amazes me that at the age of 15, Anne was capable of learning lessons and realizing ?truths? that were far beyond her years.

I think Anne Frank is very inspiring. She has such a great personality even through all of the drama and war that goes on. I really liked learning about Anne. I think she teaches a good lesson to people all over the world that you should be thankful for what you have and value the little things in life.

After viewing this site and reading the play in my class, i realize how important hiding was for Anne and her family. Now that I realize life was the most important thing tp her I am looking forward to reading the actual book to read her diary entries and see how positive her diary was and if she ever mentions being angry.

I haven't read the book, however i have read the play. It has made me want to read the book. Anne reminds me of somewhat miyself she always looks to the birght side and always jokes around and tries to be the one to make people laugh. I really want to see her hiding place and read any other stories she might have written that i have not heard about. I think that her father might have been very sad to read all those letters about his daughter(at least i would have been). It would remind me ofthe good times i might have spent with the person. I also kept wondering what would happen if Anne came back safe. would her diary be published? would she write more stories, or would she be to sad to write more stories? would she become a writter? these are some questions i asked myself after reading the website. I think that even though Anne was described as "explosive" she had a serious side that i would not of known about without reading this site. My reasoning for this is because under the title "give" she wrote that all people are equal. It made me realize that things haven't changed much we still make fun of people that may look different. She made me think about how maybe she's right if we set a good example people will pass it on. Maybe not the whole world will do the same but it would have a great effect on people.

After reading the play in class, I was in awe of Anne. She was able to stay indoors with seven others while having to stay quiet all the while to ensure their safety in hiding. I admire that talent of hers, although she hated being inside, because i know that even if i stay inside for one day, i would be easily irritated and my mom would force me outside to relieve my stress.

I just read the play in English class, but I never knew so much about Anne Frank's life. She was really deep and I think its sad that she died so young. I feel like I can really relate to what she went through. I'm definatly going to read the book.

I have just finished the play of The Diary of Anne Frank. This website gave me a lot more information on her life. The story "Give!" is a really inspiring story and it is amazing that someone that young could write such an intense story. If everone read that story then problably everyone would be a little nicer to everyone else. I also thought that the video footage of Anne was pretty interesting. The story of Anne's life taught me more about the horrible things that the Germans did to the Jews. I was amazed that Anne could be so happy even though she was in hiding. It is really exciting to read about how life was back then from someone who actually lived during that time. I cannot wait to read the book. I think that everyone should learn about Anne Frank and what she went through. It might make the world think about the horrible things that still happen today.

Out of just reading a play out loud in an English class, one cant really get the true sense of who the girl of Anne Frank really was. After seeing most of the movie and reading parts of Wikipedia's article on Anne Frank one can have a slightly bigger idea of what she is about. But all three can be more of a historical document telling of what some of the Jews actually had to do to even have a slight chance in surviving past the holocaust. This website gives the other side of the diary which was the reason why Otto Frank decided to get it published in the first place. It shows sincerely how all people do have some good in them but the words she says are true but people dont realize they are there. It is true that the world has enough money, treasures, and food for each and every person but people are in a sense greedy for it. There are people that have enough money to feed a state but they keep it to themselves. IF she was still alive, she may not even had her diary published but surely her beliefs would be more widespread and maybe actually come in effect.

This story affected me because the holocaust was something that I had heard of but never really knew any facts about. Then we read about Anne Frank and I learned so much. I now know what the holocaust was in the American people's view and the Jew's view. It completely changed the view for me.
