"I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains" This quote has truly affected my life. Every aspect of those words has helped me. I believe Anne Frank being at the same age as myself has real thoughts like i do..Many authors write books of how they remember there life at this time but Anne is not writing astory she is writing to one thing she can trust (kitty) and she is so real about it. ive read this book twice..i just can't get enough. After reading this book it made me realize how grateful i am to be living in my generation. This is a mass murder that should never accur again. Today i know for a fact that some people live their lives in different worlds(fear). This book is a huge inspiration to me!

I have just finished reading the diary. Although the words come to me in a language they were not penned, they still hold the depth and feel of a friend that I have long waited to meet. Anne's triumph emboides the true strength that as human beings we are called to live. He dreams, desires and aspirations form a beautiful treatise of what a truly geniune life should be. I thinnk Anne Frank is the most inspiring book I hav ever read. The way Anne writes seems as if she is so self confident and will always stick up for herself. We are studying her in History and she is probably the most inspirational girl ever. She has inspired me to write my own diary, maybe that could be a key to the past in the future! She has such a tragic life story and every single person born to Mankind should read it. Her writing talents should be recognised by everyone. I think Anne Frank is awesome!!! that 'unfinished story' section 'give!' was very true! i have always wanted to write something like that on paper, but never knew how to put it in words. she has said it, perfectly, but only if the world were really like that! i see alot of resemblance between myself and Anne (not that i'm bragging). She is a rolemodel and she has had a real big efect on my life. and i will always think of her a kindred spirit, a friend. I found the diary a very fasinating piece of literary excellence. When i read it, so many things became apparent. I could almost invision Anne sitting and writting her diary.
She definately grew before everyones eyes. It was definitely a tragedy that she could not finish her diary, so much remained to be said.
Anne wrote like a real writer, even though her life is over, her diary and her spirit inside lives on, as it will for many years and for many generations.

I thought that Anne Frank had a hard life being a Jew. I think that it was good for her though to take her time and write her thoughts down instead of being to scared to. I think if she would had survived the Holocaust that she would be able to do anything she wanted to do with her life. She was brave when she was a little girl like my age. I felt bad though that she had to go through the Holocaust. And still today her diary of the Holocaust still lives on and she is a famous person. She had alot of courage to do what she did. I think that was pretty cool. Her life story was good. But also really sad.
We've been reading this book in school, and not until now have I realized that this is not only a humanized invaluable historical document, but it can be transferred into our own lives, when we encounter the same problems Anne and other Jews faced.
In Anne Frank, I find someone more than a hero. I find...a friend, nearly. She was so ahead of her time in everything she said. Her diary is the singular most haunting account I've ever read. It's amazing to think that she was so young, so talented...and that that strength, beauty, and talent was lost. I hope everyone reads her diary. It was her hope to be a writer; now she is. The least we can do, as people who see the Holocaust for the monstrosity it truly was, is read it. But not only that. To think about it, to change our lives. To stifle the thoughts of prejudice that we have, to suffocate hate. I truly believe that Anne would have become famous, if she had lived. Yet, in a way, I don't think her story would have made such an impact on so many, many lives. Including my own.
the untold story of Anne Frank really touched me. When I read it I started to cry. I feel realy sorry for those people. chandra

Anne Franks diary was the most inspiring book i ever read.She described every single thing that happened to her She inspired me to make my own journal
Anne Frank is an inspiration to me because she was so outspoken and she didn't care what people thought, but she kept writing and doing what she did best. She shows us girls that as young women we can be strong and be whatever we want to be and achieve our goals just be ourselves and to never let anyone put you down if it is something that you really want to do. I advise anyone to read her book and learn about her because she made a big difference on my life and the way I look at things and people.
Anne Frank has inspired me to write about anything I want, and to keep my dreams and hopes. I believe that someday, our world will be entirely at peace.
I can not believe that some people believe that the holocaust never happened when they have this diary, some videos, all of those corps, and all of the lucky people that made it through the concentration camps and living at home in hiding. Also I am in love with the writings that Anne Frank wrote. It just shows another personality that someone has. And she is not just a someone; she is the first hand person telling us all about her tragedies of which she encountered during this horrific event in history. Anne Frank has changed mine and others points of view on this one subject, it wasn?t only a couple Jews and others murdered, it was millions of people. That tells how messed up one little figured person can be, and how much power someone can earn by fear
Anne Frank inspires me a lot. The stuff she went thru and how she mature so fast helped me mature I think. Now I'm writing my second journal and I love writing very much. I'm also reading her book for a 2nd time and I bought her book with short stories in it and the one Miep Gies wrote, too.
Her diary greatly reflects my life. I'm not in hiding but I like boys, I love to write, and like to read. Her diary made me laugh at some parts and made me cry in other parts. Her idary made me feel like I was experiencing the secret annex firsthand and watching everything from a distance. I never read the diary but heard of it as a child. I have been deeply touched by what I have seen on your website. I was actually thinking earlier today about all the lost potential that occurred during the holocaust. I am horrified by the ugliness and callousness but also curious about the loss of potential. How many of those poor Jewish people may have been a great boon to mankind. Always in a number of people that numerous there are some who have potential to be exeptional. I do not minimize the horrors inflicted upon the ordinary, that too is heart-wrenching to say the least. Anyway, at this point in my life (age 47) I find it nearly unbelievable that the holocaust even happened, in so-called modern times!
I read the Diary of Anne Frank for the first time at approximately age eleven. At the time of the first reading I did not know enough about the Holocaust to understand the true horror that Anne and her family were living out. I have re-read the book periodically through the years, seen the movie and more recently seen the revival of the play on Broadway with Natalie Portman. That was shortly after returning from Amsterdam where I visisted the Anne Frank House and the Holocaust Museum. I had certainly heard and read about the Holocaust through the years but nothing that I knew prepared me for the powerful and emotional moment of walking up the stairs to the Secret Annex and reading the excerpts from Anne's diary. Rereading Anne's words on your web site have brought back those emotions. There is no other story I have ever read that has moved me in such a way, no matter what the stage of my life. While you have done a wonderful thing by bringing Anne's words to this country for others to read and share, there is nothing like standing in the rooms where Anne lived; you can almost hear her speaking aloud as she writes in her dear Kitty.

I first read the diary of Anne Frank when aged 12-13. It was an experience of reading the thoughts of another young Jewish girl. My first reading of the diary was an occasion of meeting a girl through her writings - having a sense of kinship with the writer, knowing of her tragic end in the madness of the Holocaust. It was also a reminder to cherish and embrace the freedom and rights so often taken for granted. Because of the Holocaust Museum's exhibition and website, I have re-read Anne's diary, for the first time in twenty years. Because of the Museum's exhibition of Anne Frank's writings, I have come to view her as a writer apart from her diary, not only as a gifted teenager who represents the child victims of the holocaust. Anne Frank's voice was stilled by the Nazis; her writings live as a legacy of the promise unfulfilled. By acknowledging her writings and making them known to the world, Anne's voice has been allowed to be heard again. Anne Frank was one of many millions of victims of the Holocaust. Each had a voice that should have been allowed to be heard throughout their natural spans of life. Anne Frank represents not only all of the child victims, but all the victims. I've Seen The Movie.. 6 Times.
I've Read The Book.. Once.
And Now I'm So Happy That I'm Doing A Project On Anne Frank At School.
Im 13 And Anne Frank Was Around The Same Age As Me When She Died.
I Can't Imagine What She Went Through At Such A Young Age.
