Notes:
No cover letters are available for the lists of Jews from Sliven, which are therefore undated. The organization name and generating agency are inferences based on the provenance of corresponding lists from other Bulgarian cities. This list groups together persons of the same surname, who are presumably family groups. Ages but not addresses are given for each individual. Two addenda sheets are attached to the list, both signed by N. Ikonomov, delegate (pratenik) of the Commissariat of Jewish Affairs in Sliven. The first addendum states that Bulisu Eshaya Behar Kakum, a 68 year old housewife, was seriously ill (i.e., too sick to travel for extermination). The second addendum names four Jews from other towns who were temporarily living in Sliven. For these persons the Sliven address is given. One of the four was a medical doctor.
