The men named on the list with hometown and YOB all failed to report to duty with the 1st Labor Battalion on April 10, 1943. This list covers men from the 21st military district, including Plovdiv which was the hometown of 56 of the men named here. The other three came from Ksanti (Xanthi) in Bulgarian-annexed northern Greece. (None of the three appear on a separate list of those Jews deported from Xanthi to Treblinka in March 1943).
