- Original documents compiled by Mr. Carl Katz, assisted by Ms. Else Toeplitz (former director of the Jewish Home for the Aged in Bremen) and Ms. Adele Ostro prior to January 1946. These lists were originally included in a newsletter, dated January 1946, from the Bremer Hilfswerk addressed to 'friends' of Bremen in the U.S. (This newsletter also available, see "Language & Other Notes").
- Photocopies of these documents were received in January 1995 by the Survivors Registry as a gift of USHMM Volunteer, Mr. Jacob Weiner, a survivor from Bremen who emigrated to the United States.

Abstract:
- A mostly-alphabetical four page register of approx. 420 Jews deported from Bremen, Germany who perished in Minsk, the entries of which include last name, first name and maiden name (wehre applicable), together with single page non-alphabetical register of approx. 80 Jews deported from Bremen to Theresienstadt (Terezín), where they perished, the entries of which include first and last names, dates of birth and what appear to be places of birth in parentheses where these were other than Bremen.

- Survivors Registry Document File AA0063 also includes sundry other documents, including three facsimiles of the "Rundschrieben betreffs Hilfswerk fuer Juden in Bremen" [="Newsletter concerning the Assistance Organization for Jews in Bremen"] dated End of December 1945, January 1946 (as mentioned in "Provenance" section above) and February 1946, preceded by apparently unrelated documents, including a report from Survivors Registry Volunteer Peter Landé to then-Survivors Registry Director Sarah Ogilvie on his Fall 1996 archival research trip to Germany, together with an summary by record group assignation of archival collections of the Nazi era available as of August 1994 in the German Federal Archives branch at Potsdam (i.e. in Dahlwitz-Hoppegarten).
