Abstract:
A collection of documents pertaining to the fates of those arrested and deported by the Gestapo from Vienna to the concentration camp of Dachau in the so-called "First Prominent Austrians Transport of 1 April 1938". Entries vary, but sometimes include items such as date and/or place of birth, street address, rail car number, occupation, and fate (where known). Many dates given in the latter documents of this collection are after 1938, some even as late as 1947. These latter documents are probably the result of a post-War effort to account for the fates of those transported.
