Abstract:
Consists of seven 35 mm microfilm reels depicting the activities of the Dijon branch of the SD/Sipo (Sicherheitsdienst / Sicherheitspolizei) in occupied France. Contains records relating to the confiscation of money and valuables from French Jews. Although the collection is designated by USHMM Archives' assigned title as covering the years 1939-1941, the range of activity spans from 1940-1943. More importantly, the accession consists of docket files assembled on victims of the SD. These are, more or less, in alphabetical order and span the entire 7 reels. The finding aid to this collection is in Polish, and consists of a list of the victims' names as they appear in sequence from reel 1 to reel 7. Hence, this finding aid, in and of itself, constitutes a name register. However, the finding aid itself does not account for lists of individuals incorporated within the dockets. Lists appear in reels 3-7.
