Abstract:
Pages 285-387 contain a listing of c. 1,220 Jewish victims of the Holocaust who had lived in Stuttgart, Germany. Entries include last and first name, maiden name (where applicable), birthdate, birthplace, occupation, and marital status, last known place of residence, deportation date(s) and destination(s), as well as date and place of death, where known. The book also gives a breakdown of Stuttgart residences showing Jewish versus 'Aryan' ownership and occupancy in 1939. Book further lists Jewish members of various societies, occupational fields, the rabbinate, etc. A list of Jewish organizations and their founding dates is included. Census data is given as well. Book also contains a list of Jewish citizens of Stuttgart and Cannstatt who died while fighting for Germany in the First World War
