Abstract:
Memorial book of listing c. 300 victims of the Fuhlsbüttel Prison and Concentration camp (a.k.a. 'Kola-Fu'), Germany, a sub-camp of Neuengamme. Pages 15-45 contain an alphabetical name register of Jewish and non-Jewish victims. Pages 47-57 list individual executions, often of members of resistance organizations and anti-fascist groups. Pages 61-63 list victims who were in so-called 'protective custody' ('Schutzhaft'). Entries on pages 15-63 include some or all of the following: The first line lists date of birth, occupation, former town or country of residence and street address. May also include whether a prisoner of war. The second line shows date of death and category of persecution (e.g. political or racial), where known. Descriptions of individual fates are often provided, as well as photos. Pages 66-77 list elderly victims and persons murdered because they were unable to work. Entries may include prisoner number, former occupation, country, and town. Some photos are included. Pages 81-84 contain a name index indicating page numbers where information on specific individuals appears.
