Registry Accession Information: Former Q&A Name Lists Database File Number-- AC0958
Former Survivors Registry Director Dr. Radu Ioanid first formally requested a copy of this data on July 23, 1997. Dr. Liliana Picciotto Fargion visited the Museum in April of 1999 and met with Registry staff. She again agreed in general to share the data files from the book with the Registry, but stressed her concerns with use of this information on the internet and outside of the Museum. She suggested that the Registry send another letter formally requesting the data. Then-Survivors Registry Director Vadim Altskan sent such a letter in April 1999. Dr. Piccioto Fargion replied by email on April 30, 1999 indicating that she was in the process of updating the electronic files and hoped to have them completed in the next few months.
Survivors Registry Document File #AC0958 contains only four faxed examples of screenshots from the database with photocopies of corresponding pages of these entries from the published book. It does not appear that a copy of the database itself was ever received.
