The originals of these records were created and collected by the Reichsvereinigung der Juden in Deutschland and its predecessor organizations. At some point the records came into the possession of the Bundesarchiv Abteilung Potsdam, which, in response to a purchase request from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives, completed preparation of a set of microfiche of the records, apparently in 1992. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the microfiche from the Bundesarchiv Abteilung Potsdam ca. Jan. 1993. The excerpted name lists in Survivors Registry Document File EE2598 were identified and compiled from these microfiche by Survivors Registry Volunteer Peter Lande.

Abstract:
A collection of variously dated and often paginated name lists created by the Schneidemühl branch office of the Reichsvereinigung der Juden in Deutschland, primarily listing elderly and sickly Jews, tracking their locations and transfers between various care facilities, family residences, etc., as well as other reports on the location and fate of the Jewish community. Entries typically include date of birth, date and place of death or deportaion (where applicable) and current location or residence. Schneidemühl is currently Pila, Poland.
