- The book has a bibliography of archival and literature sources, containing 24 items. They include Adolf Diamant's "Depotationsbuch der in den Jahren 1942 bis 1945 von Leipzig aus gewaltsam verschickten Juden" (Registry Accession File #LG0111) which contains the Leipzig transport lists. Also included is the "Leipziger Juedisches Jahr-und Adressbuch 1933" (Registry Accession File #EE2543) which is an address book for Jews in Leipzig in 1933.
- It should be noted that the author failed to make use of the Theresienstädter Gedenkbuch - though she cites it in her bibliography, its use is not reflected in the individual entries.

Abstract:
Alphabetically arranged list of about 2000 Jewish victims deported from Leipzig. Each entry includes last name, maiden name (if applicable), first name, date of birth, place of birth, the place to which they were deported, date of deportation, locations during the war, information about family and date and place of death (if known). The amount of information for each victim varies considerably, and may include some or all of the above.
Language and Other Notes:
- Text in German. As well as the actual namelist, the book includes a chronological introduction in German of 36 pages.
- A review of the book by Peter Lande states that "Leipzig had one of the larghest Jewish communities in [East Germany] [...] The author states that 253 Jews who were deported from Leipzig survived the Holocaust. Their names are not included. Also not included are about 1600 "Polish" Jews who were pushed across the border to Poland in 1938. There apparently are no lists of such persons for Leipzig, though they do exist for some other parts of Germany."
