Abstract:
- Contains an alphabetical necrology in facing Hebrew and Hungarian texts of Jews from the town of Sahy (Hungarian: Ipolyság, German: Eipelschlag) who perished in the Holocaust ("Mártírhalottak névsora", p. 127-150); also contains a list of Holocaust survivors who were formerly residents of the town of Sahy indicating their country of residence as of publication date ("A külföldödon élö visszatérök névsora", p. 101-102); there is also a list of those who fought the Nazis as resistance fighters or as part of the Soviet, British or other armed forces (p. 110-111).
- NOTE WELL: The town of Sahy is situated at 48°04'N/18°58E on the Slovakian side of the Slovak-Hungarian border on the river Ipel'. The Hungarian name for this town is "Ipolyság", and not "Ipolyszög" (as mistakenly recorded in some other online catalogs regarding this work), which is a separate town situated at 48°05'N/19°18'E on the Hungarian side of the border, approximately 15 miles east of Sahy, near the much larger town of Balassagyarmat.
