Provenance:
Compiled by the father of Dr. Ella Susmanek, professor in the Academy of Music in Warsaw, a former inhabitant of Gluszyca, later of Wroclaw. The original of this register may have been given by Dr. Susmanek to the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw. The photocopy of the register in the Survivors Registry Document Collection dates from November 2006 and was received by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum as a gift from Mr. Benjamin Vogel, whose family (i.e. parents, brother Marek-Majer and himself) is listed in the register as "Fogel" (entries 126 through 129).

Abstract:
- Non-alphabetical register and address directory of Jewish inhabitants of Gluszyca [formerly known as Wüstegiersdorf] in Walbrzych County in the Lower Silesia region of Poland from 1946 through 1950. Most of those listed are Holocaust survivors, primarily those who fled to the USSR, but also listed are many born after the war in the community. Some name entries are struck out, presumably indicating those who left the town or emigrated from Poland during that period.
- Columnar entries include name, date of birth, place of birth, parents' given names, profession, wartime location, then-current address and remarks. This name list appears to have been entered into some form of German financial accounts register book, so the columnar headings do not pertain to the actual contents.
