Provenance:
- Eight computer files of Bolechow name lists in various formats were received on April 16, 2012 by HSVRC staffer William Connelly from Mr. Stephan Klein as email attachments. According to Mr. Klein, the original list of Jews who perished in Bolechów was compiled by Mr. Shlomo Adler (from whom he obtained it) and other Bolechów survivors living in Israel in the early 1950s. In the late 1950s it is said that they paid to have the list converted to a scroll, the whereabouts of which was unstated.
- These 8 files, together with an MS-Word format document of that email's text named "EE3884_SourceEmail.doc" are available to authorized U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum staff in the USHMM Computer Network folder T:\DArchives\ReferenceCollection\EE3884\. The MS-Excel format spread sheet in this folder named "KorbonotHaShoah.xls" may contain a tabulated list of victims derived from the original 1950s name list. The compressed file in the folder named "ListsInHebrewOfBolechowVictims.zip" contains all of the various electronic files as provided by Mr. Klein with their original file names in Hebrew characters. For ready use by English language computers, these files have been renamed in the folder as:
