With this information, it’s hard to tell if this is good or bad for my child. In August 1943, there were many deportations from Lodz to Auschwitz -- about 50 to 200 people per day. Regina was moved in the middle of this - to where, it is unknown, and why is unknown as well. Reasons could be that she was not selected for deportation (yet) and was ‘safe,’ or, more grimily, perhaps she was moved for the sole purpose to prepare for deportation.
