We searched Nacha Ajzenwafer with no results, as well as Nacha A, N Ajzenwafer and the sounds like names as well and nothing came up. Nacha A sounds like search had results but none we were sure about/had relatively close names to the name we were researching.
Thanks for explaining your process so thoroughly. I tried looking for compounds built on the last name "Ajzen" (like Ajzensztajn, Ajzenwafer, etc.) and came up with Ajzenwaser as a possible name. Searching with Soundex on gave me Nechama Ejzenwasser and Nichuma Eizenwasser, both born in 1926 (but I don't think they're the same person - or are they?). My best guess is that Ajzenwaser is the name that was signed, which appeared to the transcriber from the album as Ajzenwafer. What do you think?
I've been having the same problem with researching her name, Nacha Azenwafer was the closest name I could find, I'm thinking their could have been a mistake with reading the name from the greeting book. I dont know thought, the process is very confusing. What else have you guys found?
