User Comments:
Upon googling the relationship between the names Lachman and Lassman we found multiple sources that state that these names can be pronounced similarly, therefore we are assuming that the name could have been spelled either way.
We also noticed that in the notes already provided, there is a date without any abbreviation. We are assuming that this is the date that Izak moved addresses in the ghetto from Rubens 2 8 to Rauch 44.
In the description of Izak's school, #18A, we see that most of the students were between the ages of 8 and 11, therefore having been born between the years of 1930 and 1933. Izak Lassman's birth date was in 1929, which is one year off, however we are assuming that he would still have been placed in this school because the school may have had a few students slightly older or younger than ages 8-11.
The information provided also states that Izak was an arbeiter, or a labor worker.

I agree that it is possible that this person signed this name in the album. Good work googling the relationship between the last names! I also agree that it is possible he was placed in school #18a, since the age range provided is only the most common ages for the school and is not an exhaustive list but rather a guideline. I am curious about what the September 13, 1942 date means, and hope you are able to learn more in the next stages. Thanks for an excellent and very thorough process note.
