Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
When searching for the name of the Gymnasium student, we obtained no results even when we checked the boxes for “sounds like.” We searched only the first letter of her first name with her full last name. The only potential we found was a woman named Bina Skowronska born August 15, 1923. However her occupation is listed as Hausfrau, or housewife, and her name bears little resemblance to Bronka. When searching for full names that use Bronka as a nickname, we found Bronislawa. However no name appears with that last name in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database.
Also when using the advice of changing the ending of Polish last names from -ska to -ski, no new results come forth.

Hm. I'm going to mark this as possible until we determine otherwise; perhaps she was married shortly after leaving school? Your hard work in trying to puzzle through this one is evident in your comment, and I thank you for it.
