I did a search for Janusz Sztajn and I didn't come up with any results. I then did a fuzzy search and came up with Jonasz Sztajn born 10 Feb 1928 and he lived at Alt-Markt 15 flat 17 and Marynarska 9 (no flat number). He also appears as Jonasz Stajn with Marvnarslia 9 (no flat) as an address. I did a google search and found on Wiki that Janusz translates into the name Jonas.

I agree that Jonasz Sztajn/Stajn is most likely the person who signed this name in the album. Do you think that Marvnarslia looks like Marynarska, perhaps if the bottom of the Y was cut off? I think these both point to the same street address.

User Comment:
I only found one other person living at the same address of Jonasz. She was I believe his mother Laja Sztajn/Stajn born 14/05/1903. I couldn't find anymore information in the databases for Jonasz or his mother. I did find on Yad Vashem a page of Testimony submitted for Yonash Yurek Shtain. It states he was born in 1928 in Lodz to Yakov and Laya Shtain. There is also a page of testimony submitted for his mother Laya/Laja Shtain nee Engel. I think this is the same Jonasz I researched given the similarities in the birthdates and mother. It gives says his circumstances of death on his testimony but I think it's in Russian so I couldn't read it.

Have you looked for Yonash as an alternate spelling for Jonasz in any of the records on the other stages of this site? I don't know if there's anything there, but you might find more information.
