User Comment:
Ok, Szyfra Gilbard was born in 1930 and she lived at HOHENSTEINER STRASSE 76 46 and she moved to HOHENSTEINER STRASSE 78 36 on 13/08/1941. Also note the date 15/04/1942 AG AUSG. I'm not sure if this is a deportation or a move.

I agree that you have found the person who signed the album. We address the question of the deportation date in stage 2.

User Comment:

I think that Szyfra's father was Manes Gilbard b. 1904 and died 20/11/1941. I also believe Abram Gilbard b. 1928 was her older brother because they all lived at the same address. I just wonder where her mother was because her father died when she was just 11-years-old.

On the ghetto note under Szyfra Gelbard it says ABG 13.8.41 HOHENS 78/ so I just assumed this was a change of address and under Szyfra Gilbard it says AUSG 15.4.42 A.G. I couldn't find any information on where she was deported to.

A good question. We might not know--she might already have passed away herself by the time the records were taken, and the children might have been fending for themselves. We also know that Szyfra and Abram were deported (Szyfra) or moved (Abram) in April 1942.]

If you look at the notes on the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database, AUSG--ausgegangen--refers to deportations. I also couldn't find a specific place to which she might have been deported in April, 1942--keep trying!
