User Comment:
Okay for my research on Machel Morgentaler I found two possible matches that I believe are the same person. The first name I found was MACHEL MORGENTALER b. 1929 and he lived at Kelm 7 flat 2 and MARYNARSK 8 and he moved on 16/01/1944 to STASZICA 2. The second name I found was MATLA MACHEL MORGENTALER b. 12 Jan 1929 and SHE aslo lived at Kelm 7 flat 2 and moved (ABG) to MARYN 8 and had a ghetto note saying 16.01.44 BURSA STASZYCA. With the similarites in their names and information on their address I'm thinking Machel and Matla are the same person. Okay, I added Machla Morgentaler born 10 Jan 1930 and also Matla Morgentaler born 1930. All the records obviously point the the same person but why does one record MACHEL state MALE and the other records state FEMALE?
Approver Comment:
I agree that all four of these records point to the same person. I don't know why one of the records says male--perhaps a data entry error, either in the original record or when the records were transcribed? Please remember to look for all the dates of birth and possible spellings in the next stages.

If Machla was still in the ghetto in 1944, she may have survived the late deportations. Have you been able to find any information about her in the next stages?
