User Comment:
Aron Wilder was born 06/05/1929 and he lived at Insel 37 flat 18 and Pfeffer 14. I'm pretty sure this is the same Aron that signed the albumn because no other Aron Wilder's came up.

User Comment:
Aron is listed as a student and an apprentice (lehrling) at what I believe was a metal workshop of some kind (Metall Abteilung I). He was registered as a 14 year old worker as of January 1, 1943. This is a good sign since it means he was still alive at that time. There is an additional typed notation on the card -- "16.5.1942 chn.87 ,Franz 29 v.6/11 1943." The first date indicates that he had been a worker since May 16, 1942 (ie, soon after the first major wave of deportations to Chelmno had completed). As for the rest of the notation, I believe it means he was transferred to the Schneiderei labor department at Franzstrasse 29 on November 6, 1943. If so, that would mean he survived at least that long. (FYI - I cross-referenced with JewishGen's list of Lodz ghetto labor departments to get the addresses.

This is quite impressive. The labor cards give us so much information and insight beyond simply dates and addresses, and it's amazing how full Aron's card is. Thank you for adding this information.
