User Comment:

A fuzzy search for E* Kenigsztajn turned up a few results, but only 3 were the right age to attend School #17B. Since there were only minor variations in the spelling and birthdates, as well as matching addresses, I concluded that all 3 profiles belonged to the same girl.

Approver Comment:
I agree that these records all point to the same person, who would have been the right age to attend school #17b in 1941.

User Comment:

I looked through the database to find people with matching last names who lived at the same address (her likely family), and found her mother (Fajga, b. 1895), and brother (Joszaja, b. 1931). In addition to living at the same address, they were both deported on the same date as Estera, Sept. 9, 1942. According to Secondary Sources, there was a deportation to Chelmno on this date.

There was another date listed for Estera that I was unsure where to put. The note said 'ZAM 21.12.41', which means she registered (for something) on December 21, 1941. I looked through the labor cards and was unable to find one for her, so I'm not sure what this registration date is for.

Approver Comment:
The registration date might have been for Marysin, where she is listed (in two of the three records) as living. I agree that regardless of which date on which she was deported, deportations on both dates ended at Chelmno. Thank you for helping complete Estera's record.
