School #3
School #3 was a religious school for boys in Lodz. Most students in school #3 were between 7 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1934.
School #3 was located at Ulica Franciszkańska 29. Fourteen of the Lodz schools met on Franciszkańska, most in the building at #29. The street name was changed to Franzstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. Learn more about the schools on Franciszkańska at

User Comment:
Of the people matching P* Pilicer, Pinkus was the only one of the appropriate age to have attended School #3.
Approver Comment:
I agree this is the only male P Pilicer who would have been the right age in 1941 to attend school #3.

User Comment:
I matched Pinkus to his family via matching addresses. Pinkus lived with his mother (Chaja, b. 1900), and siblings Chana (b. 1923), Rajzla/Reizla (b. 1924), Marjem (b. 1930) , and Szejna (b. 1935).
Chana and Rajzla/Reizla both have two records, both of which have one address set that matches Pinkus's and the other that includes a separate address at Hanseaten.
Of all the family, Szejna is the only one that does not have death/deportation information listed with her. All of the family members, except Szejna, died on the same date- March 9, 1943. There is no deportation associated with this date, but I do think it rather strange that all of them died on the exact same date without providing deportation information or some other logical reason. The only one that has a cause of death is Chaja, who died of pulmonary tuberculosis.

As with Marjem, I agree that it is very strange that the whole family is listed as having died on the same day. It is even stranger, given that there is a date in 1944 on his labor card--how could he have been working in 1944 if he died in 1943? Can you help us solve this mystery?
