School #8a was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 25. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

I do agree you have found the student who signed the book! In 1941, she would have been 10 years old, the right age to attend school 8A. Minor spelling differences can be a result of translation mistakes or simply that the handwriting was difficult to read. In the future, please remember to leave a note in the research notes field letting us know how you decided this is the person who signed the album. Good luck in the following stages!

User Comment:
I found living at the same address Szlama born 31 Aug 1910 (possibly Dyna's father) Majer born 10 May 1905 (another match for her dad) Hendla born 10 July 1902 (her mother) Abram born 22 Oct 1932 (brother) and Laja born 10 July 1884 (grandmother maybe?) and deported on 5/9/42. I think Hendla and Majer are the likeliest people to be the parents because of their ages.

I agree that you have found her family. Thank you for adding them to her record and for putting down both possibilities for her father! Can you find out more about their fate on the next stages?
