School #8 was a school for girls in Lodz. The students in #8b attended classes in the afternoon. Most students were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #8b was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 26. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
There were two Hena's that matched by fuzzy search in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database. Estera Hena Ryndkorn, a schuelerin born the 20 March 1929 and Hena Ryndhorn born the 14 May 1929. However, Estera Hena is a schuelerin. However, I'm not sure if the research I've done is completely correct. It would be good to compare the street addresses (HANSEATEN 4 24, HOHENS 44 for Estera) and ALEXHOF 28 77 (for Hena) and their proximity to the School #8B. However, I have no data for that. I'm basing myself on the fact that Estera Hena was a student.

Not everyone who was a student is listed as a Schueler or Schuelerin, nor do we know if there is any correlation between the location of a school and where the students who attended it lived. Please list both Estera Hena and Hena as possible candidates to have signed this name.

User Comment:
During March 1, 1942, the people from the Lodz Ghetto were sent on a daily basis to Chelmno according to the secondary sources. This was probably her final destination, where she probably perished in the gas vans.
Her possible father shares the same addresses as her (HANSEATEN 4 24 and HOHENS 44). This research was done in the Lodz Inhabitants database.
